Based on a controversial 1891 play by German playwright Frank Wedekind, “Spring Awakening” explores the turmoil of adolescent sexual exploration and the celebration of rebellion! Following a small group of coming-to-age teenagers in late 19th-century Germany, the show traverses and navigates the controversial themes of sex, abuse, suicide, homosexuality, and questioning religion.
